Student Success Statement

I believe this quote means that you don't reach success easily in just one step it takes time and obstacles to get to success. Its a lot of little steps to reach success which means it doesn't just happen overnight. For example there is a lot of people that are just like, "Well, I'm going to go to high school, go out with friends, graduate and then i'll go to Princeton, and then become a doctor," but its not like that you have to take specific classes in high school to get into a good college and then you have do extracurricular activities while in high school and you have to get a good score in your a SAT or ACT and then after you graduate from college you have to go to medical school and do internships. You don't reach success very easily, it takes time, effort, persistence, obstacles, and much more.

Recreation Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Recreation therapists observe, analyze, and record patients’ participation, reactions, and progress during treatment sessions and also modify treatment programs as needed. They develop treatment plans to meet the needs of the patient based on a needs assessment, patient interests and objective of therapy. They also encourage clients with special needs and circumstances to get new skills and get involved in health-promoting leisure activities, like sports, games, art, crafts, and gardening.

Salary: $42,280

Education:

Most are required a bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy or in a related field. Most employers, especially those in hospitals and other clinical setting prefer to hire certified recreational therapists. To become certified you must have a bachelor’s degree, completion of a supervised internship and pass an exam.

I don’t think I would like to become a recreational therapist because it really doesn't interest me that much.

I believe this quote means that you always have to do what is right because doing right is the right thing to do even  if everyone in the world against doing what is right. It also says that doing the wrong is the wrong thing even if everyone is doing what's wrong. For example if you're at a party and everyone is drinking and you get there and people want you to drink you shouldn't because not drinking is the right thing to do, even though everyone else is in favor of drinking, drinking is the wrong thing to do.

X-Ray Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

X-ray technicians prepare the patient for the x-rays and position the patient for the x-ray can be taken properly. They are responsible for developing and then processing radiological films. They also must ensure that all the devices and equipment meets the safety. They work strictly with the physician in order 

to get instructions and guidelines 

to cure patients.

Salary:  $38,000

Education:

Those who would like to become a x-ray technician should also take the most challenging high school courses available. You are required to have a high school diploma or GED; most employers prefer people who are licensed or a certificate of x-ray technology.  

I don't think I would like to become an x-ray technician because it really doesn't interest me.

I believe this quote means that you have to do what is right because its right not because its a popular thing or a politic thing. You have to do the right thing because its the right thing and nothing else matters. For example if your friend is bullying someone then you should tell because its the right thing to not, not cover up just because that person is your "friend". Even if other people don't want to choose the right because they don't
 think that that's "cool" you still should do what is right because
your conscience tells you its right.

Radiologic Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

The help diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries under the direction of a physician with the use of ray machines, magnetic resonance scanners, positron emission scanners, and other technologically advanced machines. They have to explain and get patients ready for radiological tests and treatment that will be done. They must place the equipment at the right angle from the patient to make the appropriate images for the physician. They may also assist physicians in performing sophisticated procedures. Another responsibility they have is to ensure that the radiology equipment is properly maintained. Radiological technologists may work in hospitals, clinics, medical laboratories, nursing homes, and in private industry.

Average Salary: $24,000-$36,000

Education:

Students who would like to become a radiologic technologist should take the most challenging high school courses available in science, math, and English. To become a registered radiologic technologist, students have to complete a two year training program in a hospital or school. A high school diploma or GED certificate is needed for entry into these programs.

I don't think I would like to become a radiologic technologist because it really doesn't interest me and it seems a little boring.

I believe this quote means that you need to believe that doing the right makes people and things successful. That we need to believe that doing the right will bring us good consequences in life. For example if you know that some cheated on a test it would be better to say the truth and tell the teacher that that person cheated and then you would be choosing the right and the person who is cheated won't want to cheat again which help him/her learn that they need to study so they won't have the need to copy. Doing the right will make us stronger, powerful.

Radiation Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:

They assist radiologists and oncologists (cancer specialists) in treating diseases by exposing areas of patients’ bodies to ionizing radiation. They are also responsible for maintaining the radiation therapy equipment and helping to keep patient records. Hospitals, public health clinics, cancer treatment centers, and private offices provide radiation 

therapy.

Average Salary: $22,000 – $36,000

Education:

Students who would like to become a radiation therapist should take the most challenging high school courses available in science, math, and English. They can train to become radiation therapists in either one or two programs. Hospitals often offer one year programs.  An applicant must have graduated from an approved program in radiologic technology or been a nurse with education in radiation physics in order to qualify for a one year program. To enter two year courses a high school diploma or GED is required.

I don't think I would like to become a radiation therapist because it really doesn't interest me and I think I rather have a career with a high education.

I believe this quote means that when you do right you might get a reward that is material, but you also feel rewarded from the inside, you feel great, you want to do the right more often, you feel better about yourself. When you do the right the most important reward is the one you get from inside yourself. For example on Saturday my sister and I were going to buy food and a blind person needed help crossing the street and my sister helped him. The reward she got was feeling good inside for helping someone and she didn't need any other award. 

Psychologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

They study the behavior and actions of people to understand, explain, and change their behavior patterns. Psychologists also provide therapy and counseling to people with emotional, learning, and behavior problems. They diagnose and treat problems, interview and observe patients, develop, select, and administrate tests, develop mental health programs, and conduct research and teach. Psychologists may specialize in clinical, educational, quantitative, developmental, and industrial- organizational psychology.  They may work in schools, hospitals, clinics, and private practice.

Average Salary: $45,000-$65,000

Education:

Students who would like to become a psychologist should the most challenging (AP or IB) high school courses available, especially in English and science. Psychologists that are licensed must earn a Ph.D. in psychology. To be admitted into graduate programs is usually based on the quality of undergraduate performance in a psychology major. Clinical psychologists must complete a two year supervised internship after earning their doctorate and pass oral and written state qualifying exams. School psychologists must earn at least a master’s degree.

I don't know if I would like to be a psychologist, it does interest me, but at the same time I want a career in which I work in a laboratory.

I believe this quote means that right is right when you do everything as in like you choose to do your homework which is doing the right but you had copied off someone then thats not choosing the right. So it doesn't matter if you did your homework if you copied off someone, it wouldn't matter if you turned it on time and it was all complete if you choose the wrong by coping. If you're going to do the right you have to choose the right in every single detail not just one part.

I believe this quote means that when you practice something a lot you find it easier to do some things. For example if you don't get a certain chapter in math class but you get help and you ask questions and practice the problems when you get a test on that chapter you will find it very easy. If you find something difficult persist on learning it until you don't find it difficult anymore.

Psychiatrist

Duties and Responsibilities:

They are physicians who focus on mental illness problems. Psychiatrist design treatment problems, conduct psychotherapy sessions, prescribe drugs, supervise electrotherapy treatments, conduct research, and lead a team of mental health care providers. They may work for the government, have their own private practice, or work in hospitals, clinics, or universities.

Average Salary: $90,000 -$200,000

Education:

They need to complete the requirements for a degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine, and also physicians must complete a three year residency in psychiatry.

I’m not sure if I would like to be one or not it does interest me a bit but I’m not sure if I want to go down that road.
