" Every time I've done something that doesn't feel right, it's ended up not being right."
                                                       - Mario Cuomo

I think this quote means that that feeling you get before you do something tells you if its right or wrong and that if you don't feel good while you're doing something then it's probably not the right thing to do. For example, if you let someone copy your homework during class you probably won't feel right because your conscience knows its not the right thing to do.

"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me." - Carol Burnett

I believe this quote this trying to say that people could tell you how to change your life, but if you're not willing to do it you won't be able to change your life. They can't make you change you life if you aren't willing to. For example if you have a drinking problem your family can tell you its bad for you and a million other things, but if you're not willing to change your life you won't. You have to be willing to change it no one can change for you.

"Goodness is the only investment that never fails."
                                                - Henry David Thoreau

This means that you can always depend and count on goodness. Nobody could take away goodness that is why it never fails: you can go on a job interview, do your homework, try to buy a house, but that could fail. You could always do good and that will never fail. It never fails to be good. If you give a homeless person money nobody take away the good you did to that person but if you go to a job interview you could forget what to say and then they could say you dint get the job.

"When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad." - Abraham Lincoln

I think this quote means that if you do the right or you do something good or your conscience will feel good and if you do the wrong you will feel guilty and your conscience will feel bad with yourself. For example if you cheat on a test and you get a good score you'll feel bad because you didn't earn that grade. You'll have a guilt conscience and you'll just keep on thinking about what you did wrong. If you spend a week studying for a big test and you ace the test your conscience will feel good and you'll be proud of yourself because you earned that grade with your hard work.

Naval Yard Shooting

Yesterday morning there was a shooting in a naval yard in Washington D.C. The gunman killed 12 people and the gunman also was killed. They are still not sure if acted alone, but they do know that the gunman was from Texas and he was a military contractor his name was Aaron Alexis. They were looking for two more suspects but has already been cleared. This a very sad issue because innocent people got killed. He choose the wrong and now he is dead to and the other suspects if found also accountable for what happened will spend lots of time in jail. They can't go back and change what happened and now they're going to have face the consequences for their actions.

"I shall pass through this life but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness I can show, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall never pass this way again."   -ANON

This means that you have to be kind and nice everyday because you can't redo anything from the past. If you do something wrong you wont be able to go back in time and change it. For example if your parents tell you to do something you should do it because if you don't you'll have negative consequences and you won't be able to go back in time so you won't have negative consequences.

-Robert E. Lee

This quote means that you have to do what is right and every time you do something right it will be easier to do the right thing again and again until you are doing the right thing without having to think. I have three messages.
1. We should never, ever give up.
2. You never are too old to chase your dreams.
3. It looks like a solitary sport, but it takes a team.
Diana Nyad
The first message tells you that you should never give up on your dreams just because you fail doesn't mean you have to give  up. You have to try and try until you accomplish your dream/goal. Her second message tells you that it doesn't matter how old you are to be able to chase your dreams. Her third message tells you that without the help of others you are not very likely to succeed. Diana  even though she failed to swim from Cuba to Florida 4 times before she didn't give up and even though she was 64 she chased her dream again and finally was able to accomplish it.
