"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless." - Mother Teresa

I believe this quote is trying to say that its easy to say kind words, but the actions of doing them is what is really heard by the people. It's easy to say kind words, but the meaning and emotions you say them with count a lot. The kind words are easy to say but the way that you affect the person with the words are endless. For example so many girls have issues with the way you look so when you tell them they're beautiful, its 2 or 3 simple words, but they'll make someone feel better about themselves.

"The best way to predict your future is to create it."
                                                         -Charles Ketterer

I think this quote means that once you have in your mind all your goals you will accomplish them. You will pass all the obstacles that are put in your path if you have in your mind were you want to go with your future. If you don't have your goals in your mind it will be way harder to accomplish them. If you don't have your goals in your mind you probably won't ever accomplish them because if you're not really thinking about them you might not have what it takes to go after them. For example if you have the mentality that you want to get good grades you'll do what's right and do what it takes to get your good grades like doing all your homework, behaving in class, respecting everyone, etc. Once you have in your mind everything you want to accomplish you won't let anything get in your way of accomplishing your goals.

"Be cool in school-live every rule." -Mr.Haymore

I think this quote means that if you want to be cool in school you have to choose the right and follow all of the school rules like wearing your uniform, respecting teachers and classmates, getting to school on time, etc. You have to be able to follow every rule to be able to be "cool'. For example when you get a high GPA you get your name on the gold list and it's pretty cool because everyone looks at it and only some people get there name on the list. If you follow all the rules you get rewarded with success and you get recognized for good things.

Reflection on school-wide Assembly

I really don't need to improve on any of the things they talked about. We were supposed to learn why wearing uniform was important because that way everybody will not be judging others by what they are wearing. Another theme they tried to teach you was that you have to arrive early to school to learn as much as you can and it will help you for the future when you have a job and you have to get early there. There were many other rules they were showing like respect towards everyone on campus. It showed us we have to choose the right and follow the school rules. I really can't improve much because I follow the school rules so I will continue to wear my uniform all the time, arrive early to school, respect teachers and classmates, and behave well.

"Action is the foundational key to all success."         -Pablo Picasso

I think this quote means that you can say you want success and that you want to accomplish great things in life, but if you don't take the steps it takes to accomplish them you will never become successful. You need to have the will to do things in order to reach your success. For example I want to be accepted into an Ivy League university, but I'm doing the action it takes to get there like doing the research to know what I have to have in order to get accepted. I am doing well in school to be able to get accepted. I'm not just say I want to get accepted and then getting fails in all my classes.

Life Planning Reflection

I haven't accomplished any of the goals I have written in my notebook because all of them are for me to accomplish later on still. I have my goal to graduate with honors from high school and I'm working on to accomplish it by working hard at school and getting good grades and passing all my classes. Doing well in school is what is going to help me accomplish most of the goals I have written down. My goal to go to New York might be accomplished soon because since I've been doing good in school my dad wants me to be rewarded with it. One of my goals is to accomplish a pinboard with things about me and I already have the pinboard and I'm working all getting the things I want to put on it.

"Adversity causes some men to break- others to break records"
                                                             - William A. Ward
I think this quote means that some hard things in life might make some people give up but to others it makes them stronger and makes them want to keep going and go for what they want. I think quote shows that you shouldn't give up that you should use any difficulties to make you even want what you want to accomplish even more. For example if you get your report card and you get really bad final grades you shouldn't just say you're done with school you should continue going and try better the next time and look at the options you have to make them up. Just because something obstacle is put in your way doesn't mean you have to give up.

"The best inspiration is not to outdo others, but to outdo ourselves."                                                                        - Anonymous
I think this quote means that instead of outdoing others and always wanting to be them you should instead start beating yourself. For example if you get your report card and you get two Bs and the are As next time try to go for just just one B or no Bs at all. You always want to do the things that will help better yourself not worry about what the others are doing. If you are able to accomplish something you will feel inspired to accomplish even more and that will inspire you to accomplish even more. Sometimes its okay though to get inspired by others because you  see them accomplish something and it inspires you to also want to accomplish something but you shouldn't think about doing something just to beat them, you should you use it to better yourself only.

Christmas Break

On the first week of Winter break I worked on my english homework and started on my goals. In that week I also had to pack because I was going to go to Mexico. For Christmas Eve I got a lot of clothes and money. We went to Tijuana and at the airport there I got to drink Starbucks so I was very happy about that and then got a plane to Michoacan, and stayed there for 12 days. While in Mexico we went to the beach and went to the theater. When I was bored I worked on my Homework. I made new friends while in Mexico. I had a birthday party there even though my birthday had already passed and got some great birthday presents. i came back last week on WEdnesday and it was a very long day of traveling and got home very tired. My best friend came over and when I was in Mexico we facetimed with each other. I also got to see my grandma and i was very happy because I hadn't seen her in a long time.

"It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness." -Seneca

I think this quote means that you having to go through a lot to achieve your goals is what matters. As in yeah it is great that you have achieved your goals but what did it take you to accomplish them because without that tough road greatness wouldn't seem that great. The rough road is what makes your greatness great because even though you had a tough road you accomplished what you wanted. For example if your parents are rich and you want to go to college wouldn't it feel way better if you were independent and got a job to make your own college education and not the money of someone else. Even though it's way easier to just take the money you would feel better if you were able to accomplish it on your own even though it was tougher.
