Home Health Aide

Duties and Responsibilities:

Home health aides prepare and serve simple modified diets. They help perform simple household tasks. They also assist with medication. They measure and record vital signs. They help them with exercise programs. A home health aide enables patients to be able to stay home by monitoring and recording the patient’s condition. They have to maintain a healthy and safe environment for the patient.  

Average Salary: $20,820 - $29,250

Education:  

There aren’t any formal education requirements for those who want to become a home health aide. Home health aides who work in certified home health agencies must get formal training and pass a standardized test.

I don't think I would like to become a home health aide because I want a career working in a laboratory and I don't think I would want to take care of people for a career.
