"It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness." -Seneca I think this quote means that you having to go through a lot to achieve your goals is what matters. As in yeah it is great that you have achieved your goals but what did it take you to accomplish them because without that tough road greatness wouldn't seem that great. The rough road is what makes your greatness great because even though you had a tough road you accomplished what you wanted. For example if your parents are rich and you want to go to college wouldn't it feel way better if you were independent and got a job to make your own college education and not the money of someone else. Even though it's way easier to just take the money you would feel better if you were able to accomplish it on your own even though it was tougher.
