Dental Technician
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Dental
technicians construct, fit or repair devices that increase function in the
lives of the patients. They usually fabricate, alter, and repair dental devices
such as dentures, crowns, bridges, inlays, and appliances for straightening
teeth. They work with small hand tools such as files and polishers. They may
work in dental schools, commercial dental laboratories, hospitals, dental
clinics, and for manufacturers of dental prostheses.

Salary: $36,090
Education:
Students who
would like to become a dental technician must have a high school diploma or GED
certificate before being able to start dental laboratory training. They must go to community college, vocational
school, or dental school to learn the skills needed. Programs are usually two
years in length.
I don't think I would like to become a dental technician because it really doesn't interest me that much.
