Operating Room Technician
Duties and
Responsibilities:
They are
also called known as surgical technicians or surgical technologists. Operating room
technicians assist in preparing operating rooms for surgery and are responsible
for having the equipment ready for the operation. They have to deliver specimens to hospital laboratories
for analysis and they also take patients after operation to recovery rooms.
Salary:
$16,000-$22,000
Education:
To become an
operating room technician students must have a high school diploma or GED
certificate. Vocational and junior colleges offer programs and training may also
take place in a hospital. At the end of
the training period you must pass an examination to become certified.
I don’t
think I would like to become an operating room technician because it really doesn't interest me and
because I want a career in which
you are required a
higher education.
