For example, You get a good score on your test, but you cheated the score really doesn't matter. If you study hard for the test and you try your best and don't cheat then even though you might not get the best score you know you tried your best and that if you hadn't tries your best it would have been worse. This quote tells us that choosing the right and not doing the wrong is more important than if you win or lose.
