Oral Care Professional

Duties and Responsibilities:

They work to meet the oral health needs of patients. They remove calculus and plaque from all surfaces from the teeth, apply preventive materials to the teeth, and teach patients about appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health. They also counsel patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health. They may also take and develop dental x-rays.

Average Salary: $70,210

Education:

To become an oral care professional you need at least an associate’s degree in dental hygiene. All states require you to be licensed if you want to be one, however requirements do vary by state. Bachelor’s degrees in dental hygiene are also available, but are less common. High school students who know they would like to become an oral care professional should take courses in biology, chemistry, and mathematics.

I don't think I would like to become an oral care professional because it really doesn't interest me that much and it sounds a bit to boring for me.
