"Obedience sums up our entire duty." -Hosea Ballou I believe this quote is saying that what we are responsible for doing every day, every minute of ours lives is to be obedient. If you're not obedient then you can have a lot of negative consequences. If you are not obedient to your parents they can ground you or take something of yours away. If you are not obedient with the law you can go to jail or prison. If you are not obedient with your teachers then you can get bad grades and won't ever get somewhere in life. If you are not obedient with your boss then you may lose your job. You have to be obedient to be successful. The point is that you have to be obedient all the time it was you are meant to do.
