Duties and Responsibilities:

They use various forms of herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage, exercise, and dietary therapy.  The concepts have been developed in China and are based on a tradition of more than 2,000 years. Chinese medicine is also called “oriental medicine”.  They treat and prevent illness. To restore the flow of energy and relieve pain and injuries in patients they use needles, herbs, and other implements.

Education:

A bachelor’s degree in biology or Associate’s degree is required to enter an AOM program. The length of training is 3 years for acupuncture and 4 years for the combination of acupuncture and oriental medicine.

I don’t think I would like to become an eastern medicine doctor because it really doesn’t interest me that much.
